Ten Points Education Ltd is committed to making our website and platform accessible to the widest possible audience, including school staff, pupils, and families using assistive technology.
Our Approach
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This includes:
- providing sufficient colour contrast between text and backgrounds;
- ensuring the site can be navigated by keyboard alone, with a visible focus state and a skip link straight to the main content on every page;
- using clear, descriptive link and button text rather than generic "click here" labels;
- supporting text resizing without loss of content or function; and
- respecting reduced-motion preferences – anyone with "reduce motion" set in their operating system sees the same content with the animation turned off, not a broken page.
These principles apply as much to the platform itself as to this website – seating plans, journals and dashboards are all built to be usable by keyboard and screen reader, not just by mouse.
Ongoing Work
Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-off certification. We review new features against these principles as they are built, test with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation as part of that review, and we welcome feedback on anything that falls short.
Reporting an Issue
If you encounter a barrier using our website or platform, please let us know at hello@tenpoints.io and describe the issue and the assistive technology you were using, where relevant. We will investigate and respond as quickly as we can.
