Who we are

Ten Points Education Limited provides schools with a digital platform to support behaviour, wellbeing, and student engagement.

We work only with schools – we do not provide services directly to children or families.

Who is responsible for your data?

  1. Your school is responsible for your personal information (they are the Data Controller).
  2. Ten Points looks after the data on behalf of your school (we are the Data Processor).
  3. This means we only use data in the ways your school tells us to.

What information do we hold?

On your school’s instructions, we may process:

  1. Student information – name, class, house, behaviour points, wellbeing submissions, avatars, gender.
  2. Teacher information – name, class, photo, gender.
  3. System information – login details, activity logs, access records.

We do not collect:

  1. Parent/guardian details (unless your school specifically provides them).
  2. Payment or financial information.
  3. Data for advertising, marketing, or selling to third parties.

How do we keep data safe?

  1. Data is encrypted when stored and sent.
  2. Only the minimum number of staff can access data, and only for support or troubleshooting.
  3. All access is logged and monitored, so it’s always clear who looked at what.
  4. Our staff complete annual privacy and security training and pass background checks (DBS).

Children’s Privacy

  1. Ten Points is not a direct-to-consumer service – you can only use it through your school.
  2. The special UK “Children’s Code” rules (sometimes called “Children’s GDPR”) do not directly apply to us.
  3. Even so, we choose to follow its principles because children’s privacy is especially important.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

  1. We never train AI on your personal data unless your school has given explicit consent.
  2. Any AI features are explained clearly, and schools remain in control.
  3. We always keep data use minimal and proportionate.

How long do we keep data?

  1. We only keep your information for as long as your school uses Ten Points.
  2. When your school leaves, we delete or return all their data safely.

What are your rights?

Under UK law, you (or your parent/guardian) can ask your school to:

  1. See your data.
  2. Correct mistakes.
  3. Ask for data to be deleted.
  4. Object to certain uses of data.

We help your school respond to these requests.

Questions or concerns?

If you have questions about how your data is used, please contact your school in the first instance.
